Where has Jan & Feb gone?
From my last post in December about my 2 day pop-up stall, I have got to know some lovely people and learnt a lot from that experience but best of all, £88 was raised for The Archie Foundation.
But since then, time has gone by in a flash...though it seems dragged out and long at the same time!! 🤔 That just seems like a contradiction but January feels strange and out of sync as we enter into a whirlwind of lockdown, home-schooling and the winter blues. Feeling sluggish and heavy from all the comfort food I have been stuffing myself with, I decided to come up with a low fat, low sugar, high protein light sponge cake range called Decocake. With designs and words incorporated into the light cake sponge, there is no need to add extra frosting or fondant to decorate the cake! The cake sponge is light and moist with the right amount of sweetness that will satisfy your cake cravings without the guilt!
Then we had a change of scenery when it started to snow and the dreary world around us became a winter wonderland!❄️Kids were out playing happily in the pristine white snow and this snow-cation had reminded many of their previous ski vacations.
Now, we are already entering into March and suddenly first signs of Spring is showing. Crocuses are popping up, revealing their gorgeous shades of blue, lilac, yellow and white. Days are getting brighter and warmer and hopefulness and cheeriness are starting to permeate my heart as l look forward to spending more time outdoors. This has inspired me to create these personalised beautiful treat boxes that are not only perfect for Mother’s Day but also perfect as a surprise treat for someone special to brighten their day!

Though it seems, we still have a long way to go before we can achieve the same kind of freedom we had before COVID-19, we must remain hopeful and remind ourselves that seasons do change. In the meantime. we can choose to focus on the little blessings that come our way each day and continue to do little gestures of love to spread a little cheer into this world.
